EDMONTON – Rivalry action will heat up immediately when the Griffins women's soccer team kicks off the 2026 Canada West season on Sept. 5 vs. the Regina Cougars (12 p.m., Clarke Stadium).
MacEwan will once again play every Prairie Division squad twice as they battle for one of four playoff spots available.
"With this new format and divisional structure, there's a strong rivalry feel to the schedule," said head coach Dean Cordeiro. "We'll see the teams we're directly competing with for playoff spots both at home and on the road, so every match carries weight. We're looking forward to opening the season at home against Regina and Saskatchewan."
Saskatchewan also visits on opening weekend (Sept. 6, 12 p.m., Clarke).
